How do I create a new baseline?

To create a new "Baseline":

  • Login to your account.
  • Click Baselines tab, then click  Create Baseline link under the tab.
  • In the resulting page, complete all the necessary fields. The fields are self-explanatory, here is some more detail:
    • Basic Information: Enter basic information such as baseline name and description.
    • Select and Arrange Items:
      • Select: Select items you'd like to add to this baseline - just use one of the 3 links in this section and follow on-screen directions.
      • Sort: Rearrange the order of items using drag and drop actions - i.e. drag up/down.
      • Indent/Outdent: Rearrange hierarchy of items using drag and drop actions - i.e. drag left/right.
  • If you'd like to save the baseline for later editing and finalizing - click "Save as Draft" button.
  • If you're ready to take the snapshot now - click "Generate Baseline Now" button.
    • Once you generate a baseline - you cannot add, edit, delete or rearrange items any longer.
