When a user updates a record, Accompa can automatically flag the relationships (aka links) between that record and the records that are directly downstream as “Suspect Links.”
Accompa gives you the ability to define "Suspect Link Trigger Fields" to control when suspect links are created - i.e. when a user edits certain fields of a record, the downstream links of that record are flagged as "Suspect Links."
Examples:
- It is desirable to flag suspect links when certain fields are changed (for example: "Description" field) - this helps you ensure you're accounting for potential ripple effects of this change.
- On the other hand, it may not be desirable to flag suspect links when certain other fields are changed (for example: "Status" field).
In summary: "Suspect Link Trigger Fields" enable you to define which fields trigger a suspect link when a user changes them. |
