How do I clone a "record" to another "object"?

Here are the steps to clone a record from one object to another object:

  1. From the "record detail page", click the Clone button at the top of the page.
  2. In the "Clone Record" popup appears, at the top of the popup - use the "Object Picklist" to choose the object you'd like to clone this record to.
  3. The "Map Fields" section is then displayed with two columns:
    • The left column displays the field picklists from your "Source Object".
    • The right column displays all of the fields for you "Target Object".
  4. Use the picklists in the "Source Object" column to map fields to your "Target Object".
    • Please Note: All of the "Required" fields in your "Target Object" will need to be mapped to fields from your "Source Object".
  5. Once you've mapped all the fields, click the Clone button to clone this record.
