What is a "Use Case-Requirement" relationship?

You can create a relationship between a use case and a requirement in Accompa to easily track dependencies between them.

For example, when designing an Online Bookstore:

  • Use Case:
    • User Purchases a Book
  • Requirements:
    • User shall be able to add books to shopping cart
    • User shall be able to remove books from shopping cart
    • ...
    • User shall be able to view books in the shopping cart at any time

You can create a "Use Case-Requirement" relationship in Accompa to easily associate this use case to all of these requirements.

You can do so in one of two ways:

  1. Visit "Use Case Details" page (How do I do this?). Scroll down to "Related Requirements" section, and create desired relationships using the buttons in this section.
  2. Visit "Requirement Details" page (How do I do this?). Scroll down to "Related Use Cases" section, and create desired relationships using the buttons in this section.
