I just signed up for Free Trial. But I see a charge on my card, why?

 Print This

When you sign up for Free Trial, our system verifies that your card:

  • Is a valid credit card, and
  • Is able to accommodate a charge of $199 (the minimum fee when your account converts to a paid account)

This is done to protect against fraud, and to minimize the chances of service interruption when your account converts to paid.

This verification process, in some cases, will result in your card account displaying a "Pending Charge" (in rare cases, depending on your card provider, may display as "Charge") for the amount of $199 - but it is not an actual charge and will automatically disappear after a few days.
